Don’t let ‘perfect’ stand in the way of ‘really good’

Media training executives and spokespeople is one of our specialties (and favorite things). It can be challenging during a media interview to remain calm, focused and on message.

Sometimes striving for perfection can impair one’s ability to deliver an effective interview and–ultimately–a successful media story.

For example, incredibly talented, smart and prepared people can fumble their words or lose their composure, because they want to say the exact, perfect sentence.

Here’s some free advice from the Pros:

Founder & CEO Katie Regan always tells our clients, “Don’t let ‘perfect’ get in the way of ‘really good.’”

STOP trying to be “perfect” and just be you.

P.S. This free advice goes for job interviews, too.
