Continuing our tradition of holiday giving, Kirkpatrick Group has donated to two non-profit organizations that provide learning and clinical services for children and individuals with disabilities. For the third consecutive year, we contributed $1,500 to Laughlin Children’s Center in Pittsburgh, a preschool and community hub that provides counseling services, occupational therapy, dyslexia tutoring and more. We also gave $1,000 to Easterseals Rehabilitation Center in Wheeling, which serves children and adults with therapy and medical rehabilitative programs.
Laughlin Children’s Center was founded in 1956 in Sewickley. The group performs screenings, evaluations and clinical therapy to help children get the assistance they need to develop their social, emotional and learning skills. They treat over 2,000 children in western Pennsylvania annually, and Kirkpatrick Group’s donation supports their financial aid program
Easterseals Rehabilitation Center has been active in the Ohio Valley region since 1937. The organization works with children and families to provide physical and occupational therapy, autism diagnosis and treatment and outpatient medical rehabilitation. They also administer early intervention services for the West Virginia Birth to Three program. Approximately 65% of Easterseals clients require financial assistance.
We believe it is essential to support organizations like these to ensure all children have access to enriching learning opportunities. By supporting access to community programs, we can help build a better and more inclusive future for everyone.
Have a wonderful holiday season, and we’ll see you in 2025.
