Team Spotlight: Meet Aslynn

Aslynn Belancic joined Kirkpatrick Group as the business operations manager earlier this year. With a background in office management and administration, she supports the team with her outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail. Aslynn and her family are lifelong residents of Wheeling, West Virginia, where she works closely with our founder and CEO. Let’s find out more about her role, what keeps her busy outside of work and which famous movie location she’s visited in real life.

· Tell us about what you do for Kirkpatrick Group.

I help manage the back end of the business. In my work, I always ask whether the CEO needs to know about this, or can I solve this problem on my own.

· Is there another professional skill you’d like to develop?

I’d like to work on my writing skills for correspondence and other materials. My broader goal is to learn about all of the clients and what they do, too. Our team is so involved with each client, and every consultant knows them inside and out. The relationships that we build are really special.

· How do you like to start your workday?

I have to have a coffee to start my day. I always use peppermint mocha even though it’s technically a Christmas flavor. I love the holidays, so I drink my Christmas coffee all year round.

· Do you have a favorite quote?

Something that has resonated throughout my life is, “when one door closes, one door opens.” I feel like what is meant to be will find a way, and Kirkpatrick Group came into my life at exactly the right time.

· What are some of your hobbies outside of work?

With three boys, we’re always at a field somewhere for their sports practices and games. I like to take walks with my family and friends. I also love to read – I am getting my money’s worth out of my Kindle.

· Do you have any pets? What are they like?

We have two cats. My boys wanted a pet, so we got them kittens for Christmas. They are brothers from the same litter, and the boys named them Whiskers and Jelly Bean. In the morning, I’ll often go in the boys’ rooms and find the cats sharing a pillow with them.

· What is your favorite place you’ve ever travelled?

My husband and I went to the Nāpali Coast in Kauai, Hawaii. It was the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen. We saw all the views from the water on a catamaran boat tour, and we also rented a car and drove up through the canyon. My husband was pumped to see the waterfall from the Jurassic Park movie. It was the trip of a lifetime.

· What are some of your favorite movies and TV shows?

Growing up, Friends was a staple show for me. I still love that show, along with The Office and Schitt’s Creek. When my husband and I started dating, he got me into Monk, so we’re big Monk fans. For movies, I am a comedy girl. I don’t like anything too serious. I will watch anything with Will Ferrell or Jim Carrey.
